Politik:Perspektive is an English-language publication orientated around the socio-economic and political prospects of the German-speaking world. Our first editions were printed in Leeds. Now we are transitioning to an online platform; and we call upon the knowledge and experience of the generations brought up in a globalised world to bring unique insights to discourse surrounding Europe. Contributions to our journal combine lived experience with working and academic understandings of the German-speaking world to provide readers an accessible but powerful portrayal of contemporary events. Generally speaking, we take a positive line on an integrated Europe, whilst avoiding strict ideological adherence to the EU or nation-state rhetoric. Ultimately, at Politik:Perspektive we strive to underline what can be learned - in a positive and negative sense - from some of Europe’s most democratic, egalitarian, and rich nation-states through the fusion of critical analysis and lived experience.
